5 Homemade Face Masks For Pimples To Get Clear Skin

Pimples can be caused due to a lot of factors such as puberty & pregnancy. Both in where pimples are caused due to hormonal changes. And in both the situations, you are advised to follow natural and homemade treatments only. There are so many other reasons too! For now, keeping the causes aside let’s focus on how to treat them! You can use anyone from the following face masks. For the desired result you must use the mask for 15 days at least. Now let’s learn about each!
#1 Honey + Cinnamon
Honey is antibacterial and anti-inflammatory. It is loaded with antioxidants. Provides soothing effect and moisture to the skin. Cinnamon is also anti-bacterial and kills acne-causing bacteria.
Take 2 spoons of raw organic honey and add 1 spoon of cinnamon powder. Mix the mixture well. Apply this honey and cinnamon mask and keep it for 20 minutes.
#2 Bentonite clay + Rosewater
Bentonite clay powder is also known as healing clay. It is anti-inflammatory and helps in cleaning facial pores. Rose water contains anti-inflammatory properties too. It removes the oil and tones the skin, at the same time providing a calming effect.
Take 2 spoons of bentonite clay (also known as green clay) then add rose water to form a paste consistency. Apply this bentonite and rose water paste keeping it for 25 minutes.
#3 Neem + Basil
Neem leaves have many properties like it is anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, antiseptic and antifungal. It helps in clearing the pimples. Basil leaves have both anti-inflammatory and anti-aging properties.
Grind leaves of neem and basil together. You can use this paste as it is. Or if you have dark spots then you can add a few drops of lemon juice. Lemon juice will also help in controlling oil. Or if you have dry or sensitive skin then you can add pure rose water. Apply this mask every night before sleeping. Keep it for the entire night and in the morning rinse face with plain water only. (This one is my personal favorite!)
#4 Mint + Yogurt
Mint leaves have anti-inflammatory properties and soothe irritating skin. It also helps in controlling oil. It contains salicylic acid which helps in curing pimples. Yogurt has anti-aging and moisturizing properties. Also, helps in fighting acne and reducing skin blemishes. It also brightens up the skin instantly.
Grind some mint leaves then add yogurt in 50/50. Apply this mint and yogurt mask for 10 minutes.
#5 Gram flour + Turmeric + Aloe vera gel
Gram flour contains zinc which fights pimples and reduces oil. It also imparts a natural glow to the skin. Turmeric powder has anti-bacterial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Aloe vera gel has anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties. It nourishes and soothes the skin. Also aids in the healing process of the skin.
Take 1 and a half spoon of gram flour (also known as chickpea) add a pinch of turmeric to it then add 2 spoons of aloe vera gel extracted from the plant. Mix it well until it forms a thick paste. Apply this gram flour and aloe vera mask for 15 minutes.
Now, what about that big pesky pimple? For that, I’m sharing 2 effective homemade spot treatments below!
You can use any one of the spot treatments. After preparing any of the following spot treatments, store it in a small jar or container for usage. With the help of a Q-tip dab it on the big pimple. Keep it for 10 minutes.
#1 Tea tree oil + Aloe vera gel
Tea tree oil is anti-inflammatory and antibacterial, which helps in reducing pimple and controls oil. To prepare this spot treatment, dilute few drops of tea tree oil in 1 spoon of aloe vera gel.
#2 Garlic + Aloe vera gel
Garlic juice is rich in anti-oxidants and contains anti-inflammatory & anti-microbial properties. You will need 2 garlic cloves then extract its juice. Add 1 spoon of aloe vera gel in this garlic juice.
