Honey Face Masks
Honey is antibacterial and anti-inflammatory in nature. It instantly hydrates skin and is also beneficial for a pimple prone skin. Since it fights pimples and aids in reducing pimple marks as it has healing properties. Honey also rejuvenates skin. Now as we know about honey benefits for our skin, let’s check out these 7 amazing honey face masks!
Note- Use only raw and organic honey.
#1 Honey And Curd
This mask is beneficial for tanned or dull skin. As curd helps in brightening up the skin. It is antioxidant and anti-inflammatory too. Mix curd and honey in 50/50. Mix it well and apply with a face pack brush. Keep it for 20 minutes and rinse well with water.
#2 Honey And Cinnamon
This is highly beneficial for acne-prone skin. I have also included this DIY face mask in another post. Cinnamon is anti-bacterial and helps in drying out a pimple. Take 2 spoons of honey and add half spoon of cinnamon powder to it. Mix it well and apply this mask on the affected area. Keep it for 20 minutes then rinse with normal water.
#3 Honey And Olive Oil
This mask is beneficial for dry or extremely dry skin type. Also if you have flaky skin. As olive oil helps in moisturizing and nourishing the skin. Mix 2 spoons of honey with 1 spoon of extra virgin olive oil. This mask should be kept on the skin for 15 minutes.
#4 Honey And Banana
This mask is suitable for all skin types. Have dry skin? Banana and honey both will provide instant hydration! Have oily and acne prone skin? Banana helps fighting pimples! Have pimple marks? Banana contains natural bleaching property which lightens acne marks! This mask can also be used as an anti-aging mask!
Mash half banana and add honey to it, in the manner that it forms a thick paste. Apply this mask on face and keep it for 20 minutes. (This is my personal favorite honey mask!)
#5 Honey And Lemon
This mask is beneficial for oily and acne prone skin and can be your go-to mask in Summer! Lemon helps in controlling oil and also fades away acne marks whilst brightening your skin. Take 2 spoons of honey and add 1 spoon of lemon juice to it. Mix it well and apply it for 15 minutes.
If you are using Retinol or Benzyl Peroxide or any other medicated treatments, then I wouldn’t suggest you use this lemon honey mask. As lemon can irritate your skin. Also while using this mask don’t forget to use sunblock!
#6 Honey And Sugar
This is a mask cum scrub which will also suit all skin types. Sugar is rich in glycolic acid and it is a natural exfoliant. In 2 spoons of honey add 1 spoon of sugar. Apply this mask on your skin with your fingertips. Let it stay for 10-15 minutes then scrub gently. After scrubbing wash off with normal water.
#7 Honey And Oatmeal
This is another mask cum scrub which is suitable for all skin types. Oatmeal is anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and cleans pores. In 3 spoons of honey mix in 1 spoon of oatmeal. Apply this mask with your fingertips and keep it for 15 minutes. Later gently scrub and wash off with water.
