Aye peeps! How you doin? 😉 If you’ve checked out My current skincare routine for oily, acne prone and sensitive skin post, then you would have seen Banjara’s Tan Free Face Wash as my current face wash. I have been using this for about a month now. And this is my first product from Banjara’s. It claims to remove excess oil, exfoliate dead cells and de-tan skin. I was personally excited to try this face wash since it contains orange peel powder. Hop in to know how it fared on my oily & acne prone skin!
Banjara’s Tan Free Face Wash Experience
Banjara’s Tan Free Face Wash comes in a tube packaging which is travel friendly. The flip cap shuts very tight thus no fear of spillage or mess. But the cap shuts too tight and it requires a bit of hard work to open it! So I place the tube under running water and this way I am able to easily open the cap for usage. All the important details is mentioned on the tube except of complete ingredient list. The tube itself looks quite refreshing, no?
The face wash is orange in color, has gel like consistency and contains tiny beads. The tiny beads provides a good massaging feeling on the skin, which I totally enjoy! It contains citrusy fragrance which I am in love with! The fragrance itself is quite refreshing as is the product!
I use Banjara’s Tan Free Face Wash 3-4 times in a day and it has been suiting my acne prone skin quite well. It did not cause me any breakouts nor did it irritate my sensitive skin even a bit. It is a mild/gentle face wash but works very well in cleaning the face and washing off all the oil and sweat. My entire face tends to get oily just within two hours. But with this face wash it stays oil free for a little longer. It also aids in removing mild makeup like eyeliner, mascara, eyebrow products. However I did not feel like it exfoliates dead cells. Since the beads does not provide a scrubbing feeling but rather a massaging one. Also the beads aren’t in adequate amount.
It claims to have a soap free formula so it does take time to lather up. Most of the time it does not lather up. (Except in shower. Yea, I don’t know what’s the connection between the shower and its lather! 😛 ) Since it contains fuller’s earth I thought my skin will feel bit dry but glad that it didn’t instead felt smooth!
I have been going out in sun daily. The exposure time is somewhere around 30 minutes. And I know that I shouldn’t be doing something like this, but I have skipped sunscreen in a hurry! 😛 (C’mon we all do it sometimes! I’m forgiven, nah? ) As I have fair complexion I tend to get tanned easily. Not exactly sure if it is due to this face wash or Mumbai’s rainy weather that my face and neck haven’t tanned! Well, I can just be glad! *Touch wood*
Overall, my experience with Banjara’s Tan Free Face Wash was a good one! Although I don’t agree with the exfoliating claim but would like to end this review saying- due to the combination of multani and orange, my skin instantly feels refreshed, supple and stays oil free for long.

I loved it!
Banjara’s Tan Free Face Wash will best suit people with oily, combination and normal skin type. I love its refreshing fragrance and refreshing feeling! I haven’t got tanned so can not comment on the de-tanning claim. But I am going out in sun on daily basis. And I believe it’s preventing my fair complexion from getting tanned! If you’re someone thinking of trying this face wash, give it a shot! It has gentle and oil-free formula.
