I have been using Khadi Herbal Facial Massage Gel, with aloe vera, neem & basil for more than two months now. It has a huge claim- prevents pimples! And that is why this review here! I stumbled upon this aloe vera gel on Amazon. I had finished using Sarv aloe vera body gel and I was looking for a new aloe vera gel product. And that’s how I saw this while browsing. Though Khadi has other variants of aloe vera gels too, being someone who has acne prone skin, I won’t lie that this one attracted me by its claims! So now let’s hop onto the review to find out how it fared!
Khadi herbal facial massage gel- aloe vera neem & basil Experience
It has tub packaging which many will find unhygienic. I use a spatula to scoop out the product for usage. The jar is transparent and has black screw cap which closes tight. All the important details are mentioned on the jar. It comes sealed with a silver foil, which I have removed for usage.
The product looks light green in color in the tub but appears to be colorless on the skin. It has a mild refreshing fragrance which I really love! Each time, before using the gel I sniff on the tub!
It gives cooling sensation when applied on the skin. The gel is light and gets absorbed into the skin quickly as you massage. Though it claims to be a massaging gel, I have been using it to hydrate my oily skin. Since I have an oily and acne prone skin I prefer using gel or water-based moisturizers only. So I have been using this every day to moisturize my skin and I also use it in my DIYs.
It does the job well at hydrating and nourishing the oily skin. So people who have oily and combination skin will love it! But it does nothing to pimple breakouts. So it does not prevent them either! May work in controlling normal-mild pimples. This could be a major turn off to people who are looking for an anti-acne product and think of trying this. But I still like it since it soothes my irritated, flaky skin and any redness caused by Retinol usage.
It does control facial oil to some extent. For example, my face turns oily within 1:30 hours but when I use this gel it stays oil free for 2 hours! Yes, I was expecting a little more than hydration and soothing from this gel since it has neem, basil and tea tree extracts too. But sad to say that it is just a good hydrating gel.
Overall, I wish it helped in controlling the breakouts at least. Anyways, my acne is caused by hormonal issues and stress! Nevertheless, I am still liking it to use on my oily skin as a moisturizer!

I like it!
If you are looking for an aloe vera gel product with other herbal extracts then you can try Khadi herbal facial massage gel. It hydrates and soothes the irritated skin. Oily, combination and sensitive skin will love it to use it as a moisturiser. It can be used by normal and dry skin types too! But if you are thinking of getting this expecting that it will prevent your pimples then, I’m sorry to break your heart, it doesn’t.
