How To Reduce Stretch Marks At Home Using Home Remedies
We all get stretch marks some time or the other. Stretch marks are often caused during puberty, pregnancy, and gym (bodybuilding). They are not harmful in any way but are very embarrassing and make us feel self-conscious a lot! There are cosmetic procedures to treat stretch marks like a laser. But home remedies are practiced and advised more commonly. Why? Simply because home remedies do not cause any side effects or pain and are economical! However, you can not get rid of them permanently even with a laser because they can come back in certain situations. But you can lighten them and reduce them to the point where they look kind of non-existence in appearance. In this post, I will be sharing- a concoction which will help you to reduce stretch marks, a regime for stretch marks and some tips. So hop in to learn and try!
Do not feel embarrassed or worry about your stretch marks. We all get them and it is very common! This post by no means is trying to make anyone feel low about themselves. In fact, I am here to help you out because I have been receiving messages on how to reduce stretch marks. This concoction can also be used to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy, weight loss, weight gain or gyming for bodybuilding.
So without further ado….!
What you will need to reduce stretch marks
- Vitamin E oil (1 capsule),
- Extra virgin coconut oil (1 spoon),
- Extra virgin olive oil (1 spoon),
- Rosehip oil (few drops).
Mix all the above oils in a bowl in the quantity as mentioned. Then transfer the oil into a jar for usage.
Ingredient benefits
- Vitamin E oil It is anti-inflammatory and boosts skin elasticity.
- Extra virgin coconut oil Reduces the appearance of redness and soothes stretched itchy skin.
- Extra virgin olive oil Contains antioxidants and essential nutrients. Aids in skin nourishment.
- Rosehip oil It contains essential vitamins and antioxidants, which accelerates collagen production in the skin. This helps in healing the stretch marks.
How to use this oil concoction to reduce stretch marks
First, steam the affected area with a hot cloth. (Not too hot! Just enough to feel the warmth.) Once steaming is done shake the jar containing the oil. Take few drops of oil on your fingertips and apply on the affected area. Massage for 10 minutes. Do this every night before sleeping.
Sugar & lemon juice
Scrub the affected area using sugar and lemon juice scrub. Prepare a fresh scrub every time. Scrub gently and after scrubbing let it stay on the affected area for few minutes. Then rinse off with plain water. Do this on alternate days.
Aloe vera gel
Use the aloe vera gel from the plant only. Extract the gel from 1 or 2 aloe vera leaves and refrigerate it for long time usage. After a bath, apply aloe vera gel on the stretch marks. Keep it for 15 minutes then wipe off with a wet cloth or cotton.
Body lotion
After the aloe vera gel step, apply a body lotion which contains cocoa butter. Cocoa butter penetrates into several layers of the skin. It hydrates and nourishes the skin.
You must follow all the four steps that are- using the oil concoction, scrub, aloe vera gel and body lotion for 30 days; to find a significant improvement!
Tips
- Have at least 3 liters of water in a day for a hydrated and supple skin.
- Use a non-drying and moisturizing soap like Dove.
- Exercise regularly to stay fit.
