Hello everyone! 🙂 Today I’ll be sharing my review on Sarv Aloe Vera Shaving Gel and After Shave Splash. I know both of these product seems only to be used by men! 😛 But I have a little something for women too! Especially the shaving gel, which can be used by women too. So, how are these aloe vera products on skin? Let’s dig into full reviews of both!
My Experience With Sarv Aloe Vera Shaving Gel
The shaving gel comes packed in a box which contains all the important information. The gel comes in an inverted tube, which has spillage free flip cap, I really liked the design on the tube and box. It reminds me of mehendi on hands and Sarv is an Indian brand, their product packaging also has an Indian touch to them. The product is sky blue in color, gel like and is runny in consistency. On wet skin the shaving gel lathers really well and makes for the perfect shaving gel to use.
Since the day these products were arrived my Papa took these two from the box! 😀 And he doesn’t even know how to explain products or write any review! So I had to use these two products on me to share an experience. 🙂 I was quite excited as I am a shaving person and I also shave my face with my Tinkle razor. So was looking forward to use these with my Tinkle! I have been using Tinkle with Coconut oil, as I did not have a personal shaving gel/product to use on face. And I don’t think so that there are such products available for women! So, when I received this, I was intrigued along with my Papa to try!
So for a patch test I used this gel around my mouth first, that is- moustache area and chin area. I washed my face with Sarv face wash, which I have been trying out these days. Then I pat my skin dry and I read the instructions and it said to apply on wet skin with a brush. So I had to wet my mouth area and then took small quantity of the product on my fingers and applied on the wet skin. The gel felt cool and soothing on the skin and I rubbed it into my skin to form rich lather, as I did not have my own shaving brush! 😛
Then I started shaving the area with my Tinkle, keeping a mirror in hand. And oh! It glided so smoothly on my skin, I could get rid of those tiny hairs around my mouth. Note that my facial hairs are fine (*touch wood*) but noticeable when taking a closer look. Also I was able to glide my Tinkle against my facial hair growth. When I was done I noticed in the mirror that some area of the skin has turned red. Well, this never happens with the Tinkle razor, it could be because I have super sensitive facial skin. And also note that I am on Retinoid, that is why I had to do a patch test around my mouth first. Since I am on Retinoid I have to be extra careful on what I put on my face.
I rinsed off the product and dried my skin. My skin around my mouth felt stretchy and dry. :/ So I am shooting a question to all male readers (if any here!) answer: Is this common after using a shaving gel? And also the redness was still there but after sometime the redness was gone. But I could still feel the stretchy feeling. Now this is the reason that I won’t be trying out on my entire face. But when I asked to my Papa, he said that he has been enjoying using these two products! (Yes, that’s it, such short review!)
So I did not use the shaving gel on my entire face after this. I repeat again, because I am on Retinoid, I have to be very particular what I use on my face. Since my face has become super sensitive now! So I was still interested in using this shaving gel because of the quality and awesome refreshing fragrance! Did I mention this before? It has such refreshing fragrance! Which is so cool, it instantly uplifts my sense! So I used this on my body and I did not find any such reaction, like redness and stretchy feeling! Only my skin felt more smooth and refreshed!
So this is an awesome shaving gel! Really! I would suggest all men and women to try this out. To men because, obviously you need a shaving gel in your life. 😛 And to women because I know some of you are a shaving person like me! (Don’t be ashamed!) But I would not suggest this to women who have sensitive skin like me and who are on Retinoids, to try on their face. Maybe, it won’t affect your skin the same way. Well, I still had to share my part of the story! 🙂
The shaving gel from Gillette Venus is bit pricey as compared to this one. So, all you ladies who want to switch to shaving gel but to the one which is quite affordable and of good quality, you should try this!

My Experience With Sarv Aloe Vera After Shave Splash
When I received this product I found that the box was damp and some amount of product was leaking. So definitely not travel friendly. The box and the plastic bottle contains all important information. The product is liquidy and runny in consistency. It looks light blue inside the bottle but on palm it looks transparent.
After shaving, I used few drops of this after shave splash and applied on the shaved area. It kind of stung at first (where previously redness had occurred) then within two seconds it felt cool and soothing on the skin. As I applied it soon got absorbed into the skin, feeling soothing and refreshing. And I really liked its fragrance it contains cool and refreshing fragrance!
This splash can also be used by women after waxing or epilating. Because it feels very cool and soothing on the skin. And also on areas where you have got threading done. This also would work as a Toner for men because of some ingredients present in it like- witch hazel and tea tree oil!

Both the products stands true to its claim. They would suit any men with any skin type. So, I would suggest all men to try it out! And for women with sensitive facial skin, the choice to try the Shaving Gel on your face is yours. And for body? Yes, go for it!
The Splash has multi uses, like it can be used after- shaving, waxing, epilating and threading too.
