These are all great! I recently started using brushes, and my favorite is the big fluffy kabuki brush. It makes my powder application soooo even.

They do look like all the basic brushes you would need to take while traveling (which I do a lot). I will need to check mine out . I have a lot of brushes, most of them I don’t even use.

Thanks so much for the helpful tips! For those of us who are makeup-ignorant, it’s scary to see those huge packages of 40 brushes. I have no idea what to do with all of them!

this is such a great post for those who are starting to get into makeup but don’t know where to start! more importantly, it’s reminding me that i’m overdue for replacements haha i’ve had the same makeup brushes for way longer than i should hahaha

I am probably commiting the biggest sin in regards to make up brushes. I have two and um… One came with an old blush compact from my mom, lol… AKA: a piece of junk but it works and the other is just some big brush I use for bronzer if I need it. I never wash them – that’s my sin, hahahahaa! WHOOPS!

This is excellent information. I don’t wear makeup, but it seems to me that it’s similar to painting. And in painting, you need the right brushes to paint the picture you want.
