Hey everyone! 🙂 Back with another review post! 😀 My apologies in advance if I’m not regular from next week. (I will try to post but there will be lesser posts.) Please bare with me! ? So coming back to today’s post I’ll be reviewing Cauvery Sandal Soap, which my dada (grandfather) brought from his visit to Karnataka. 🙂 I’ve been enjoying Summer, bathing with this soap bar! Hop in to know more!
My Experience With Cauvery Sandal Soap
These three bar soaps comes packed in a box, which contains all the important details. Further the bar is wrapped with plastic. They are quite huge in size when compared to regular soap bars.
Its fragrance is so… so… so… amazing! ? I love it! Smells like pure sandalwood. Within seconds the fragrance spreads across the bathroom and I get a Spa like feeling. After bath the fragrance lingers around quite for sometime until it completely disappears.
I have used up both the soap bars. ? And now the last one is left. That is so because before reviewing any product I make sure that I have used the product properly. 🙂
The soap forms a rich lather and effectively cleans all the oil, sweat and dirt from the skin. I have also been using it on my face in the bath and it did not cause me any breakouts. Neither it irritates my sensitive and acne prone skin. As it is Summer I have been bathing twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. In the morning, I instantly feel refreshed and awake after using this soap. (Its fragrance! ?) And after coming home, tired and all sweaty, I go for a shower again and its fragrance helps to kick away the exhaustion! ?
So this is why I do not have much bad to talk about this Summer season! 😀 This soap not only cleanses my skin but also hydrates and makes it supple. Even when I’m out and sweating I still can feel refresh and clean. And not only this, it can also be used as a shaving product. As it helps the razor glide effortlessly on the skin. Not like Dove soaps which provides moisturisation as well, it is a normal soap but a good one!
Talking about Dove it reminded me that this soap can only be used in Summer and Monsoon and I can skip a body lotion. (Which I have been doing lately! But I don’t forget my sunscreen and neither should you!) As it doesn’t provide moisturisation and skin feels dry in Winter so that time a body lotion is much needed.
The soap is quite huge in size so it will last for a long time!
Price and quantity
INR 250 for 3 soap bars
I loved it! 🙂
Sad that it isn’t available online nor at my local stores. 🙁 I searched online a lot but still couldn’t find it. Though there are soaps alternative to this one like the Mysore Sandal Soap. I’ll give it a try next time! 🙂 And you should too if you love sandalwood fragrance in your bath.
