I love trying out face scrubs and I religiously follow scrubbing regime! Also I am on Retinoid so scrubbing becomes must for me. As sometimes my skin skin starts flaking. So, how is Himalaya Herbals Apricot Scrub, you ask? Well, let’s find out!
Routine cleansing does not remove dead skin cells and deeply embedded impurities, leaving skin lifeless and prone to blackheads. Exfoliating regularly is key to deep cleansing and removing debris. In this gentle scrub, Apricot granules gently exfoliate dead skin cells and blackheads and help stimulate fresh cell growth while Wheatgerm oil, rich in natural Vitamin E, nourishes your skin. The result is soft, supple and radiant skin.
Apricot, Wheatgerm Oil, Apple.
DIRECTIONS TO USE
Gently massage with fingertips in a circular motion over damp face and neck, avoiding the area around the eyes. Wash off and pat dry. Use 2-3 times a week for healthy, glowing skin.
My Experience With Himalaya Herbals Apricot Scrub
The scrub comes in a tube packaging with a spillage-free flip cap, which also closes tight with a ‘tick’ sound. All the necessary information is mentioned on the pack including the important dates. The product comes out easily from the tube but as the scrub is about to finish (less than half) it becomes hard to squeeze out the remaining scrub, because the tube is quite hard; so I have to squeeze hard to use every bit of the scrub! 😛
COLOR AND CONSISTENCY
The scrub is pale white in color and contains tiny granules of apricot. Its consistency is very creamy.
It contains very sweet scent which I really liked! But I doubt that everyone would like it as some may find it irritating. Anyways, don’t be bothered it is not too strong. However, while patting my face dry some of the fragrance gets transferred on the towel.
My Skin-type: Combination and acne prone
The scrub is very mild and gentle. People who have sensitive and acne prone skin and who are always confuse which scrub to opt for can give this a try. The scrub did not feel abrasive on my skin even the apricot granules felt gentle. And because of its creamy consistency scrubbing was a very smooth experience!
As I said that I often experience flaky skin and this scrub helps in exfoliating dead and flaky skin very well. Post scrubbing my skin feels soft and smooth on touch. It also helped in smoothing out some whiteheads, which appears bumpy and hard on touch. My skin doesn’t feel dry and stretchy after scrubbing with this scrub, but it looks and feels nourished and soft. Whenever I scrub, my skin looks glow-y and rejuvenated and I instantly feel refreshed!
The scrub feels very gentle on the skin and I’ve been using it on alternative days for about a month now. And my skin feels smooth daily. Even prior to makeup application I make sure that I have scrubbed my skin and the makeup base goes on smoothly. But I was disappointed seeing that it doesn’t do anything on blackheads and neither it prevents future blackheads. The scrub doesn’t even help to clean skin deeply as it claims. It only cleans the skin from the surface. Also I prefer abrasive scrubs over gentle one, as gentle scrubs does not exfoliate my flaky skin very well, but this one did.
Overall, it is a good scrub to try out! Just don’t have high expectations with the “blackheads” part (in case you have many).
