Himalaya Walnut Scrub Review | Gentle Exfoliating Scrub With Natural Antioxidants
Hellow, beauties! Hope you are doing well! 🙂
A review post after a long time! So this winter I have been using this walnut scrub from Himalaya Herbals. I have also previously used and reviewed their Apricot face scrub. It becomes very important to scrub skin regularly during winters, hence I picked this exfoliating scrub. My skin changes from oily to combination in winter so I tend to pick a face scrub which is slightly nourishing and scrubs away the flaky skin as well!
Himalaya Walnut Scrub Review
It comes in the standard Himalaya packaging- a white inverted tube with a green flip open cap. All the important details are also mentioned on the tube except complete ingredient list. I bought it in 100g size, it is also available in 50g size.
This scrub is off-white in color and has tiny gritty particles of walnut in it. And it does not feel abrasive at all on my sensitive skin. It is creamy in texture and also has a pleasant fragrance.
So during this time of the year, my oily skin turns combination and also flakes in certain areas. And this creamy scrub is gentle enough to scrub my facial skin whilst providing nourishment. But it does not get rid of all the flaky skin. That is, post scrubbing I could still see some visible flakes of the skin. Especially, around my mouth region.
And it doesn’t exfoliate old blackheads either. However, to some extent, it does help in exfoliating whiteheads. It smoothens out the skin, making it appear soft and supple. What could be a bit annoying is the slimy feeling which is left behind while rinsing! And this is the reason why it can not be used during the hotter months. What I suggest is to rinse face with warm water following cold water. After scrubbing I do not feel the need apply a moisturizer. So I use only my DIY face mist.
After using for quite some time I can conclude that dry skin people will like it more. Thus this scrub is best to be used during colder months due to its creamy texture. People with oily skin will feel the need to wash their face with a face wash post scrubbing. Or you could try the warm water then cold water rinsing method.

I liked it!
It gently exfoliates the skin and helps in the case of whiteheads but not blackheads. This scrub is best suitable for dry and normal skin type and can be used during the colder months. Because it is quite creamy people with oily skin may or may not like it. It’s helping to exfoliate my flaky skin to some extent, hence I’ll continue using it till its over!
