It’s the season of mangoes so of course, I had to do a DIY with it! Mango is rightfully known as the king of all fruits. Along with enjoying the tasty recipes with mangoes like shakes etc try this mango and fuller’s earth face pack to feed your skin too. Because mango is rich in Vitamin A and C. Both the vitamins improve our skin texture and make it look youthful and healthy. Now pair it with fuller’s earth and your summer face pack is ready!

How to Make?

In a bowl, add 1 heaping teaspoon of mango pulp, 1 teaspoon Multani mitti and 2 teaspoons water. Initially add only 2 teaspoons of water then add water little by little to achieve the desired consistency.

If you have dry and flaky skin then add 2 teaspoons of honey or curd to it instead of water.

The texture will be sticky and gooey due to the mango pulp. And it has a rich and intoxicating smell of mangoes. (Of course!) But try not to eat it! ( ๐Ÿ˜‚ ) And don’t worry about the stickiness as the pack dries matte after some time due to the clay- Fuller’s earth.

How to Use?

Apply this mask once or twice in a week. Keep it for about 15 minutes then wash off with normal water.

Why This Works?

Due to the rich content Vitamin A and C, topical application of mango aids in faster skin turnover. It also removes tan and uneven skin tone. Mangoes also treat skin problems like acne and aging. When applied to the skin it has a soothing and cooling effect which increases blood circulation. Along with these it is also rich in antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties.

Multani mitti is a type of clay which has been used in many skin and hair care regimes from ancient times. This is one of my personal favorite ingredients! You can also use the mango pulp as it is with just some water to massage and to gently exfoliate your skin.

Note: I already regularly use Vitamin A at night on my facial skin. Since we are never supposed to go overboard with anything that has Vitamin A or Vitamin C in it, I have not applied this mask on my facial skin. So like me, if you also use Vitamin A or even Vitamin C in your skin care regime then you can skip this face pack. Because mango is rich in both vitamin A and C. If not, then, of course, you can go ahead and use it on your skin! But remember to skip anything else that also has vitamin A or C in it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Also Note: I suggest doing a patch test beforehand.

Final Note

If you were looking for a summer or pre-monsoon face pack then try this mango face pack for glowing skin. Let me know if you have tried this. And what mango recipes are you enjoying these days? I am enjoying mango shakes! Yum! ๐Ÿ˜‹

It’s mango season in my corner of the globe, as well. I’ll be trying this out very, very soon. It’ll probably have to wait til Thursday, as I used banana peel on my face yesterday. I love mangoes so much, but can’t have too many due to my diabetes. My face, on the other hand, can make full use of them until the end of the season. Thanks for sharing this awesome face mask recipe.
