How To Pop A Pimple The Right Way Without Leaving A Mark
Are you facing this situation- a pimple comes and goes on the exact same spot or around the same area? It is bugging you too much and you are wondering how to pop it and finish its game once and for all! But you are too afraid of a pimple mark? Fret not, this post is just for you! I have been facing acne issues for the past 10 years now! I have had my fair share visiting both Derms and Beauticians. So from these said visits and from my personal experiences, I will share with you- how to pop a pimple the right way without leaving a mark!
Wondering How To Pop A Pimple The Right Way Without Leaving A Mark?
There are certain important steps which you should be following before popping a pimple. I highly recommend you not to skip any for the best results!
How To Properly Pop A Pimple?
Scrub your face with a good exfoliating face scrub. This step is essential to flak off any dead skin from the top layer. So that later we can clearly focus on the zit.
Once you have scrubbed, rinse your face and pat it dry. Now, take a facial steam for a good 3-5 minutes. This is very important! We are trying to open the clogged pore for better extraction. Once the steam is done, gently pat your face dry with a clean face towel. When your skin is wet it is more prone to damage and leaving a mark. So gently pat the face, do not rub.
When To Pop A Pimple?
Firstly, make sure you are sitting under a good light. Now take a clean mirror and observe your pimple. Do you see it more grown in size with the pus on the top? To get a clear picture- your pimple looks red/pink with white/yellow at the top. If it looks like the pimple content can be extracted without much effort then proceed ahead. (Otherwise, let it as it is, perform the extraction some other day. Make sure to rinse your face with cold water following a good face mask.)
How To Use A Pimple Popper Tool?
A pimple popper tool looks like a long needle and has a circle/oval shape at one end. (That is the side used to extract a pimple!) There are separate tools available for both pimples and blackheads/whiteheads extractions. Pick up the one which is for pimples. Before you proceed, make sure that the tool is sanitized. Now using the tool, gently extract the pus (don’t press too hard!) until it is all clear. Keep a cotton ball ready in hand to clean in between. You may see some blood, so don’t panic. It is either going to be blood or a clear liquid which looks like water.
What To Do After Popping A Pimple?
Once the popping session is over, clean the area with warm water then rinse entire face with cold water. Rub some ice cube on the area to reduce the inflammation instantly. Make sure that you sanitize the tool later.
How To Heal Popped Pimple Fast?
Apply an antibacterial spot treatment on the pimple. Or you can apply a good anti-acne and anti-bacterial face mask. Later, make sure to follow a CTM (Cleansing-Toning-Moisturising) routine. Follow a CTM routine according to your skin type. In case you are wondering which skin type do you have, then check out! – How To Know Your Skin Type
Always use a sunscreen before heading out in the sun, to prevent permanent pimple marks. And do not head out in the sun right after you have popped a pimple. You can perform this in the late evening or at night. Suggestively, when you perform this at night, your skin will heal overnight and the following morning the pimple area will appear to be flattened.
