The Lakme Insta-Liner Water Resistant Eyeliner has been on my vanity since more than a year now! And it was yesterday when I thought of using it again. I was so happy after using it because it stayed put throughout the day! So thought of sharing my views- both positive and negative with all the beauties (points at you) yes including you!
Define the outline of your eyes with some colour, with the Lakme Insta Liner. This eyeliner is endowed with a water-resistant formula that also makes it last longer. The deep intense color of this Lakme eyeliner accentuates your eye makeup and adds a dash of dramatic beauty and glamour to them. The smooth brush applies the liner over your eye lids in an even stroke and can be used for various looks you want to create. It is easy to carry in your bag and perfect for an instant touch up. Have fun with your eyes!
My Experience With Lakme Insta-Liner Water Resistant Eyeliner
I remember when I bought it for Rs. 80 (ages ago!) but now the prices have increased. 🙁 But never mind! Because the bottle lasts for forever! 😀
The packaging is very simple and basic- transparent glass bottle. What I like is the brush! It is just the right size. The price isn’t mentioned anywhere on the bottle neither on the cap, which has bar code.
Here, have a close look.
COLOR AND CONSISTENCY
The color of the eyeliner is opaque black. With one stroke it shows the black color. The consistency is neither thick nor thin and the great thing is that I have had this liner for more than a year and it haven’t dried up yet! Neither it dries up quickly when the bottle is kept open (not under fan).
My eyelids: Non-oily
This can be your everyday eyeliner because it stays throughout the day without smudging. The eyeliner doesn’t smudge even when eyes are rubbed but gets light in color. Also when I rinsed my face with water the eye liner did not smudge. The applicator feels very light and comfortable in hand. The brush provides precise application and gives nice point to winged eyeliner. Eyeliner looks glossy when applied but dries to a matte finish. It does take some time to dry though. Feels very light on eyelids, even in dramatic eyeliner looks.
I remember one moment when the product came in contact with my eye ball and my eye started stinging. The stinging continued for a while and then it stopped. I was relieved that I did not end up with red eye. I would still warn you, not to let eye liner get in contact with your eyes. And one day from laughing so hard my eyes became watery and after a while when I checked in a mirror I noticed that the eyeliner was bleeding from the outer corners of my eyes. Looked messy but the mess could be cleaned easily too. (I rubbed with my handkerchief till the mess was clean.) Thus, this eyeliner is water resistant but not water proof.
I can’t do winged eye liner properly (unsteady hands!) and if you ever find me in winged eyeliner, that is because of this eyeliner which provides precise application. The eyeliner is black but not jet black you can see in these photos.
Lakme insta-liner can be easily removed, doesn’t require a makeup remover. I normally remove it with a mild face wash.
