Loreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Review | Shampoo & Conditioner
My hair is chemically straightened hence before I used to use Matrix shampoo and conditioner. However, I noticed that the shampoo and conditioner gave me an itchy scalp! That’s when I thought of switching to some other shampoo and conditioner. I wanted to try something from Loreal. Just to see at first how my hair looks and feel. My concerns were to find the products which cleanse my hair and scalp effectively; yet maintain the silkiness of the hair. Of course, not resulting in an itchy scalp! This is how I narrowed my search to Loreal 6 oil nourish range. I have been using these products for over a month now and thought of reviewing it for you guys. Read my review to know if these products are safe to use on chemically straightened hair or otherwise in general.
Loreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Shampoo Review
The product comes in a yellow bottle with a flip open cap. I did not notice any spillage around the cap. Hence it is mess free. The bottle is somewhat flat in shape so it won’t require much space if you carry it on your travels. A smaller size is also available which is a perfect travel-friendly size. You can also find all the necessary details on the shampoo bottle. I personally liked the packaging! Especially the yellow golden color and the transparent cap area gives it a very stylish appearance! What do you think?
I usually rest the bottle upside down so that each time while shampooing I don’t have to struggle to squeeze out the shampoo.
Color and Texture
The color of the shampoo is yellow and it is very runny in consistency. It also contains tiny shiny particles. (Not sure what that is.) A little amount of the shampoo goes a long way as it lathers very well. So I never end up taking more than required. Also, I usually dilute my shampoo in water before using.
Its fragrance reminds of Garnier ultra blends shampoo just milder. (The one in the purple bottle.) The fragrance lasts in my hair for two days after which it slowly fades away.
I always like my shampoo to be smelling strong. Well, this one is neither too strong nor too mild. It is a very pleasant kind of fragrance which instantly uplifts my mood. So I guess it won’t be bothering sensitive noses.
It effectively cleanses my hair and scalp without living it feeling dry. I was exactly looking for something like this! My hair looks and feels softer and shinier than before. I believe that it truly stands by the name given to it- nourishing shampoo for scalp and hair.
I cannot talk on the ‘manageable‘ part as I believe that that is taken care of by the hair serum which I have been using. (Will be soon sharing my current hair care current. So, make sure you have subscribed to the blog!)
Also, my hair is quite prone to breakage and hair fall. So I personally did not experience any strengthening effect. But yes it definitely did not increase hair fall. As sometimes observed when switching hair products. Also, my hair looks and feels smooth. As for the ‘thick‘ claim, I am guessing that it means to volumize the hair. My hair is naturally flowy hence I did not notice any significant difference.
Now comes the most crucial part which I was keeping an eye for- the itchy scalp! I am glad that I did not end up with an itchy scalp. That’s why I continued using it.

Loreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Conditioner Review
The packaging is the same as that of the shampoo. Just the label placement is different. All the necessary details are printed on the label.
Color and Texture
The conditioner is bright yellow in color. Its consistency is medium thick and applies smoothly and evenly on hair.
Its fragrance is almost similar to that of the shampoo. I almost miss it every time as my nose already gets used to the shampoo’s fragrance. Nevertheless, it smells as amazing as the shampoo!
I am using the shampoo and conditioner together that’s why I decided to make it into one post. Also, their claims are the same. Thus I found the effects same too. Hence in this section, I will be mainly highlighting the conditioner usage.
It is very common for me to experience an increase in hair fall when I switch to other shampoo or conditioner. Also most of the time some of the conditioners does not suit my hair (causes more hair fall) or ends up doing nothing.
The formulation of this conditioner does not make me face any extra hair fall. Neither does it eat a lot of time on washing it off. The application is quick and easy and so is the rinsing. There is no leftover slimy feeling in the hair. (The slimy feeling from other conditioners always bothers me!)
Again, I did not notice any ‘strengthening‘ effect so that point is going to remain the same here as well.

I love it!
I personally wasn’t expecting too much from this duo in the beginning. But now I am amazed by the results! As these products stay true to most of its claims. My hair looks and feels so much better than before. It truly resulted in healthy looking beautiful hair. Also, both the shampoo and conditioner are decently priced. I will continue using these products. I am thinking of trying the 6 oil nourish serum next!
