Loreal Total Repair 5 Serum Review
I am currently using the Loreal 6 Oil Nourish Shampoo and Conditioner. And I am happy with the results! In the review post, I have also shared that I would like to try the serum as well. Obviously, this isn’t the 6 oil nourish serum. It is from the total repair 5 range. This came in a huge box which contained the shampoo, conditioner, and the serum. The box was on good discount and my sister uses the total repair 5 shampoo and conditioner so this was for her. But she doesn’t use a serum so I took it from the box. ( 😛 ) And I have been using this hair serum for quite some time now. Today I will be sharing my experience with it.
How to Use Loreal Serum on Hair
The bottle is opaque white in color with a red flip open cap which closes tight. Due to its size and the cap quality, it can be easily carried around in your purse with no spills. Both the bottle and the box in which it comes packed, contain all the important details about the product.

My Hair Type
Color and Texture
The serum is colorless and is very lightweight. It has a non-oily and non-greasy texture. With slight silicone feel to it. Of course, because it contains silicones.
It has a very yummy candy floss plus bubble gum mix kind of fragrance! (I am always sniffing on the nozzle before usage. 😀 )The fragrance quickly spreads in the entire room and also lingers around for quite a bit post application.
As my hair is chemically straightened I am very strict about this 3 step hair care routine which is- shampoo, conditioner and using a hair serum. I also use hair oil and hair mask once in a while depending on what my hair needs. Often most people after getting chemically straight hair complain about dryness and damaged hair. The reason is that they have not been taking good care of their hair by following a strict regime.
I always credit a good hair day to good hair serum. And this is why one must invest in a good hair serum which actually tames their hair frizz. I do have a few flyovers here and there. Also due to the humidity, my hair needs extra care and protection, which the serum looks after.
I won’t be talking about what the serum claims because the claims are too heavy of this entire total repair 5 range and some of them, let’s be real- doesn’t even sound possible!
The total repair 5 serum helps in controlling the hair frizz and makes the hair look shiny and healthy. It doesn’t make my scalp or hair greasy. (Anyways my hair turns greasy naturally on the 3rd-day post hair wash.) It is very light and can be used by all hair types even on treated hair like mine.
I do not have split ends as I get regular hair cuts done. So I can not comment on the ‘less split end‘ claim.

Cons of Loreal Total Repair 5 Serum
Not a natural or organic product so if you prefer natural products you may not consider using this one.
I love it!
Overall it smoothens my hair by controlling the dryness and hair frizz. What else you could ask to have good hair, every day? 🙂 I will be definitely buying this in the future and would like to check out other Loreal serums as well. As I said earlier this came in a box with entire total repair 5 range which my sister uses. Except for the serum, she doesn’t use any hair serum. So this was a giveaway product from my sister! 😛
