My Experience With Maybelline Baby Lips Color Pink Lolita:
Packaging
It comes in a plastic and card paper packaging with all the necessary details mentioned at the back except complete ingredient list. It’s a cute pink colored retractable lip balm. The cap shuts tight and it won’t open up in your bag.
Color
It’s slightly tinted lip balm which gives healthy pink flush to the lips with some shine.
Fragrance
It smells so sweet! I love the smell!
Pigmentation And Coverage
The color shows up well on no to less pigmented lips and can be worn daily if you don’t like to use lipstick daily. But the color doesn’t show up on very pigmented lips. So, if you have very pigmented lips you may not like this one if you were looking for very tinted lip balm. (Well, this is just a lip balm so no high expectations for color.)Â But if your basic need for a lip balm is only moisturising and SPF then this is for you, as it keeps lips well moisturised for hours.
Staying Power
On my lips it stays around for an hour or two and then disappears leaving behind hydrated pink lips. Also with light meals or heavy meals it disappears. But my lips feel moisturised for 4-5 hours!
Effectiveness Of Maybelline Baby Lips Color Pink Lolita:
I use this lip balm 2-3 times a day. And it has permanently secured its place in my night routine. I also use this lip balm prior to lipstick application to prep my lips.
One thing I really love about this lip balm is that it does not make my lips chappy. I have used a few lip balms in the past and I’d experience chappy lips. (My lips would suddenly start flaking. :/) Also this lip balm somehow protects my natural lip color. I use lipstick a lot! And with constant usage of lipstick with time lip tends to become darker and pigmented but with this one, I have never faced that issue. It just simply does not let any lipstick to change my natural lip color.
Another thing I really love is that it contains SPF! And as it’s always hot and sunny in Mumbai I am always in search of products with SPF.
So, this lip balm goes well with any season. Sunny or rainy? Don’t worry it has SPF. Winter? It keeps lips moisturised for a good 4-5 hours. (It does not give 12h moisture as it claims. You would need to re-apply after every 4-5 hours.)
