My Current Lip Care Routine For Soft & Pink Lips
Our lips tend to get dry and pigmented if we do not take care of them properly. Certain damage is even done by sun rays, which we tend to neglect! Sun doesn’t think before damaging our skin and hair then why would it spare our sensitive lips skin? And as girls, we would be using many lip products like lipsticks etc. And sometimes we also ignore to follow a certain lip care routine. No matter your lips are naturally pink or pigmented, men or women, you need to take good care of them to maintain the softness and smoothness. The lip care routine which I am sharing in this post, I have been following it for the past year or so. Following this simple routine, my lips remain soft, smooth, chapped free, plumpy pink and healthy! So now let’s hop on to discuss the routine!
Each and every step shared here is important and must to follow. I will highly suggest you not to skip or ignore any! Now let’s get started!
Two must-have lip balms
Let’s begin with the basics- lip balms! As we moisturize our facial skin and body regularly, we must moisturize our lips too. Here, I am not talking about the must-have lip balms from brands. But I have just shown which ones I am currently using. I keep changing my lip balms so none of them are permanent.
The one without SPF
A simple lip balm without SPF, tinted or non-tinted doesn’t matter. These lip balms can be used when at home or in your night routine. Basically on times when you don’t have to wear SPF, but still need something to keep your lips well moisturized. You can use any lip balm from a well-known brand or can use a DIY lip balm too! These days, I have been using Labello pearly shine lip balm.
The one with SPF
The best example of lip balm with SPF is baby lips pink lolita which I am currently using. There are other brands selling lip balms with SPF too. You can use any from a well-known brand. You must wear a lip balm with SPF when heading out in the sun. Tinted or non-tinted it is your preference. I love tinted lip balms so I tend to buy them more! By the way, I recently bought Lakme lip love lip care lip balm, which also has SPF!
Removing lipstick completely
I am not sure if any of you practice this or not. After one day experiencing the stingy situation from a makeup remover while trying to remove lipstick, I had to stop using makeup remover on my lips. It caused very weird stingy type situation around my mouth. The reason could be that corners of my mouth were flaking. Now, flaking or not flaking, I use Vaseline jelly to remove my lipstick. I simply scoop a generous amount of Vaseline jelly on my fingertip and massage it on my lips. The lip product starts melting and then I wipe it off with a cotton ball/pad.
You can try using Vaseline jelly as lipstick remover or you can use coconut oil or olive oil.
Exfoliating lips regularly
Scrubbing lips not only exfoliates the flaky skin but also keeps tiny whiteheads like breakouts which are around the edges of the lips in control. If you scrub your lips regularly then they will appear soft, plump and healthy! I suggest exfoliating lips once or twice a week. And twice a week in Winter. For a very long time, I have been using Greenviv chocolate & vanilla lip scrub. You can use any lip scrub from a well-known brand or make a DIY lip scrub.
This is a basic must follow lip care routine. I hope you found this post helpful! Now tell me what’s your current lip care routine? And which products do you use on your lips?

Note: Please don’t make any DIY in huge quantity. For any DIY try to finish it within 10 to 15 days.
