Hello everyone! 🙂 Can’t believe that it’s already end of the week. Days have been passing by so fast for me. How’s it going for you? Well, coming back to the post, I have been using Natural Cosmetism Sweet Basil Tea Tree Face Wash for a month and a half now. Only 1/3rd of the content is left and here’s my review. I also have been using Natural Cosmetism Acne & Oil Control Night Serum, on which I will be sharing my review in the coming post. So make sure that you have subscribed to the blog, you don’t want to miss it! Now hop in to know how this has been working for me. 🙂
My Experience With Natural Cosmetism Sweet Basil Tea Tree Face Wash
Talking about the packaging, I really liked its pump packaging. It has pump lock mechanism so when I received the product there wasn’t any product leakage. (You can have a look at the pictures provided below!) The transparent plastic bottle is stiff and all the important labels are mentioned on it. The bottle seems to be a bit bigger in size for travelling (as it provides 100ml content). So it would need some room to carry it while travelling. But considering the pump lock mechanism, it would be great to carry as there won’t be any product leakage. Hence no mess!
The face wash is green in color and is gel like in consistency. It also contains these tiny particles which I’m assuming is neem seed or flax seed, as mentioned in the ingredient list (as you move forward in the post you will find a picture of ingredient list too). The fragrance is mild and feels cool to my senses. But some what like Coca-Cola’s! 😀 Okay, but seriously there is a distinct smell of basil. Anyways it isn’t bothersome for my sensitive nose.
My skin type is combination to oily and acne prone. And as it says that it is for oily skin type, I was quite excited to incorporate this face wash in my skincare routine. I have been using this face wash for at least three times in a day. At first I thought that it is bit pricey but after having a look at the ingredients and how the facewash itself can last easily for more than two months; plus the impressive pump packaging- nah it’s fine!
I did not experience any kind of skin irritation or breakouts with this face wash. It forms a good amount of lather and effectively cleanses all oil, dirt, sweatiness and stickiness. In fact it also helps in removing mild makeup- where BB or CC cream is used as the base. It also efficiently removes my eyebrow product. From the past month I have only been using this face wash in duo with the Night Serum, which is also from the same brand. And my facial oil has drastically reduced. For example- previously, my face would produce oil like crazy just within two hours and now it takes 3+ hours.
This face wash not only does a great job at cleansing but also takes good care of my sensitive skin. Post usage, skin doesn’t feel dry or stretchy but supple and soft. Hence it is also gentle enough to be used by people with sensitive skin. It claims that it ‘controls excess oil secretion’ which it does but ‘treating acne and skin blemishes’ is something which is taken care by the Night Serum. (Now I can see that you wanna know about the Night Serum soon. So stay tuned!)
There is nothing mentioned about SLS or SLES but still I am wondering how does it form lather. I can compare its lather with any Clean & Clear’s face wash. Not that I don’t like products which forms lather, I do like it. I’m just curious to know how it forms bubbles. (Late edit: I learned from the brand that the lather is due to castor oil. And the face wash is free from Sulphates and Parabens. )
Overall, my experience with Natural Cosmetism Sweet Basil Tea Tree Face Wash was good!
