? Aye peeps! Today I am going to share with you one of the best cleansing milk which I have used so far. It is Nivea Refreshing Cleansing Milk. I have been using this quite for sometime after my previous cleansing milk had finished, which was Ayur Herbals Deep Pore Cleansing Milk. (Already reviewed!) Now, my skin is- oily, sensitive and acne prone and this cleansing milk claims best to suit normal skin. So hop in to know how Nivea Refreshing Cleansing Milk works on my skin type!
Nivea Refreshing Cleansing Milk Experience
The product comes in an opaque white colored travel friendly bottle. It has flip open cap which shuts tight hence no product leakage. The bottle contains all the important labels on it.
This cleansing milk is white in color. It is runny in consistency and bit creamy in texture. The fragrance is mild and very pleasant!
Now I have been using Nivea Refreshing Cleansing Milk to remove makeup only. Yes, it can be used on its own too, for deep pore cleansing. But since I have continued using Retinol, and whenever I used this as a cleanser, it began stinging on all the sensitive areas. Especially where the skin has been flaking. But once I rinse my face, the stinging ceases and I’m glad that it did not turn my skin red or cause any pesky breakouts!
So, if you are on Retinol or have flaky skin then you need to be careful with cleansers like this one. I would suggest you to stick to your regular face wash for cleansing purposes but you can still use this to remove makeup. As when used for makeup removal purposes I do not experience any sensitivity. Although I do remember when I had temporarily discontinued Retinol and used this cleansing milk: it did not cause any stingy sensation.
For demonstration purpose I have applied some makeup product on my wrist- Pond’s White Beauty BB+ Cream, Elle 18 Eye Drama Bold Black Kajal and matte lipstick from Seduction. Normally, I use this cleansing milk to remove my eye makeup only. As it gently removes the eye shadows, mascara, eyeliner and eyebrow product without irritating the sensitive thin skin of the eye contour area. But it can be used to remove light to heavy makeup as well! Now let’s take a look at the pictures below.
As you can see and tell that it removes almost all the makeup within first usage. (And so does other makeup removal products.) The product was dispensed only on the first cotton pad. The second cotton pad was slightly wet. From the pictures you can tell that if the lipstick used is bit drying or leaves behind stains then it could require a bit more work to completely remove it.
I do not do eye makeup that often so I get to use this cleansing milk very rarely. Yes, I do tend to use it when I feel a bit fancy to remove my everyday light makeup.
It not only removes makeup and cleanses skin but also leaves behind hydrated and supple skin, that is- it does not cause any dryness or stretchiness. Mostly after using this cleanser I do not feel the need to layer my skin with a moisturiser.
Overall, my experience with Nivea Refreshing Cleansing Milk was fine!

I liked it! 🙂
If you use Retinol then I wouldn’t suggest you to use Nivea Refreshing Cleansing Milk besides for makeup removal. As it can cause a bit of stinging if the skin is flaking. But otherwise you can use it. It is dermatologically and ophthalmologically approved. (Reviewed by a chashmish! ?) I normally use this to remove my eye makeup.
