My Experience Replacing Hair Oil With Pantene Oil Replacement
When my current hair serum was just about to finish, my hunt for a new hair serum or leave-in conditioner began! My hairs are dry and very frizzy, so I have to use a product like hair serum regularly. These days I have been reading so many positive reviews on the new Pantene oil replacement. So I thought of trying it on my dry & frizzy hair. I ordered it from Amazon along with a bunch of other products and began using it as soon as I received it. And here is my review!
Pantene oil replacement Experience
I really liked the packaging since anything in golden color attracts me! The golden colored tube has a golden colored flip cap too. All the important details are mentioned on the tube. I bought a bigger size, I believe it is available in a smaller size as well. The cream is white in color and has a very pleasant bubble-gummy-fruity fragrance, which I love! It stays in hair making them smell fresh throughout the day. The cream is quite thick but applies evenly and smoothly on hairs and does not weigh down the hairs. Even when you go crazy on the amount!
So, I have used this leave-in conditioner in three ways.
On dry hairs without regular hair oiling:
I used this leave-in conditioner on freshly washed hair, skipping hair oil the week prior. I regularly oil my hairs on every Saturdays and wash them the following Sunday. So when I used this for the first time, I did not oil my hair on that Saturday. Parting my hairs in two section, I took a good amount of the cream, more than coin size for each section. I could see the result instantly, my hair frizz looked tamed and also the flyovers were settled. But after few minutes the frizz was evident again! And my hair still felt dry and under-nourished! So, I was disappointed but the next time I tried it again with regular hair oiling routine.
On dry hairs with regular hair oiling:
As my hairs were already conditioned and nourished by the hair oil, I had high hopes for it to tame my hair frizz this time! But sadly, this time too the frizz and flyovers were back just within few minutes. Also, take a note that during these experiments I was at home all the time. So you can only blame the super frizzy nature of my hair! By the way, the hair frizz would become in control with my previous hair serum- Nature’s Absolutes rosehip oil. (I miss it!) So, the next time I tried it on my damp hair. Let’s read below how it worked out!
On damp hairs with regular hair oiling:
I applied the cream on my hairs when they were partially damp. This time, my hairs looked very glossy and shiny with all the frizziness disappearing within seconds! I was really astonished and suddenly my disappointment turned into love! But after an hour or so I checked my hair in front of the mirror again. And this time, not all the hairs looked frizzy. I can say that half hairs looked frizzy where possibly the cream wasn’t applied properly. But most of the hair frizz appeared tamed.
Still, I was a bit worried about the frizziness coming back again. So this time before heading out I used a generous amount of the cream and applied on my hairs again! My hair stayed bouncy and the frizz in control almost half of the day. Towards the end of the day they started appearing a bit frizzy but whenever I applied a little bit of the cream again, they stayed manageable!
I’m attaching a picture below after using it on my dry hairs when I was on no oiling routine. And oh, I have just started using this shampoo from St. Botanica too! Will share my review of it soon!
Hmm, I can tell that my hairs have turned way more drier this season!

It is Ok! (On dry & frizzy hairs)
I may not buy it again because honestly, Nature’s Absolutes rosehip oil controlled my hair frizz throughout the day! So I am looking for a hair serum just like that. If you know please share with me the name in the comments section down below! And as far as Pantene oil replacement goes, I believe it will work good on normal hairs and use it on damp hairs only. After reading its claims and reviews, I really had high expectations from it but my hair looks good for only an hour or two with it. It did not work on my hair type so that doesn’t mean that it may not work for you either. It is very reasonably priced so no harm in trying out! Above all, I’m glad that I did not face any hair fall issue. Mostly which happens when I switch products.
