Plum Green Tea Face Mask Review | For Oily & Pimple Prone Skin
I personally feel like summer is a curse for people with oily and acne prone skin. (Please excuse me, summer lovers! 🙂 ) As we face more terrible breakouts around this period! I wanted to prepare myself and make my skin care routine strong enough to keep the pimples at bay or in control at least. And I like to use a face pack on a daily basis. So I asked my fellow beauty blogger friends to suggest one of the best face pack for oily and acne prone skin. Plum tea tree mask was one of them and because it always goes on discounts online I bought it! I have been using this mask for the past 1 month and here is my review on it. So is it truly one of the best face packs for oily and pimple prone skin? Find out here!
Product Description, Ingredients
Direction of Use
Even though it says to use it once in a week. I personally prefer using any mask or pack on a daily basis. (You do what works the best for you!) Honestly this way I can see a significant difference as compared to using it for only once or twice in a week.
Packaging
The glass jar comes in a card box. There was no leakage because of the protective lid which I have discarded for easy usage. All the important details are mentioned on both the box and the jar. The box also has a small card which includes some important information too. I personally find the jar to be of good quality and very sturdy. It definitely gives off luxe vibe!
Plum Green Tea Face Mask Review | For Oily & Pimple Prone Skin
My Skin Type
Oily, acne prone and sensitive
Color and Texture
The face mask is of pale yellow kind of color. It hardly even shows up on my skin. (You can tell that from the selfie! Yep, the pic on the left!) The texture of it is creamy and applies smoothly on the skin. I use my fingertip to apply it on my entire face. It dries up quite matte. I am glad that it isn’t one of those face masks which doesn’t allow you to speak. And which irritates your facial skin if you even attempt to speak!
Fragrance
The fragrance is citrusy and mild. It is one of those fragrances which won’t bother sensitive noses.
Effectiveness
The first few times when I began using this face mask my sensitive skin began stinging to the point where my eyes welled up with tears. At that point, I even regretted buying it in the first place! I was scared that it will leave red marks on my skin. That’s when I remembered about the card, they have mentioned about the stinging sensation. Eventually, as I use this mask daily, the stinging lessened. Now it only stings around my nasolabial folds.
So because I was going to use it daily I did one thing to lessen the stinging. I wash my face with my regular face wash and then I wait for about 10 to 15 minutes or even more. And then I apply the mask. This way the stinging isn’t much and soon it begins to reduce at the same time. And then all I feel is a cool and soothing sensation. So if you have sensitive skin I highly recommend you to try out this way to help with the stinging!
What I really like about this face mask is that it brings impurities to the surface. Like the pus of the pimples. So this mask can be used in cleanup sessions and later the pus can be extracted using an extractor. It also brings the whiteheads and blackheads on the surface for extraction. (I recommend you see a professional when it comes to extracting pimples! Do not do it yourself as you may not know the right method and end up scarring your skin.)
Obviously, my skin isn’t flawless but it looks and feels clearer than before. (Also note that I do try out DIY stuff every now and then.) It works on the oil and pimples. My skin started clearing up and it feels great! However, it doesn’t work on pimple marks. So if you are someone who is looking for a 2 in 1 mask that is for both pimples and pimple marks then this isn’t the one.
If you wanna try one of the best green tea face pack for oily skin then this is it. This mask contains bentonite clay and that is one of the powerful stuff to fight both oil and pimples whilst keeping them in control. Also, I would like to add that this does not prevent pimple but it controls the overall condition and your skin keeps looking better.
In short, I only started noticing a significant difference when I began using it every day. So if you are planning to get this mask to treat pimples. Use it every day preferably in the late evening for best results.

Final Verdict
I love it!
This is now my favorite green tea face pack for acne. I love how my skin looks clearer than before and how it is managing the entire pimple situation. I can see a significant difference in my pimples and overall skin health. However, it does not work on pimple marks. But I am surprised how it kind of tries to control the future pimples! I soon wanna try their other products from the tea tree range. Please suggest me from which product my pimple prone skin would benefit more! 🙂

I have never tried plum products but this mask looks good for my skin to clean impurities
really like your honest review. must say the product looks fabulous and i really like the fact that it can control future pimples.
This facemask seems great for oily skins .. I don’t have such issues but will definitely recommend this to my friends.
I too love Plum products buddy and like you use them more frequently, loved your exhaustive review
It’s such a detailed review I must say. And I migh try this. Thanks for sharing.
Plum is a really good brand. I love the green tea range. It is great. Thanks for the great review.
This looks like a perfect solution for people who have oily skin. Can you suggest something for skin that sweats a lot .
My skin sweats a lot too 😅 drinking really chilled water helps a bit 😀
My skin is dry and sadly this won’t work for me. After your review though I would suggest it to a friend of mine.
Then skip if you have super dry and super sensitive skin 🙂
I have super oily skin. I will check this face wash for myself. My skin needs it all the more in these summers.
Great find and i loved how it pamper your skin. Wishing for it for myself too
I hope these companies take good care of you for all the comprehensive reviews you provide!
😄😃😁
I don’t have sensitive skin but I don’t like products that sting me. I do breakout during summer though and might try it if it’s going to help me keep my skin clear
Plum products are simply excellent, they have always worked well on my sensitive skin. I will try this too.
Great review, Snehal! I have never heard of this product before, or even the brand. But green tea does wonders for the skin, I know that, and would expect great things from this product. I second your comment about oily skin in the summer and breakouts getting worse. I always need to wash my face several times a day.
For me it has become very common to wash my face several times in a day mo matter what season it is 😀
This is a great review. I have been hearing a lot of good benefits of green tea extracts on skin. Will try it.
Looks like a good face mask, loved your bright after glow. Will definitely check it out.
I like products with green tea. This looks like a good product for summers .
Great review. I used to have an oily face in my teenage years and acne seems to be a part of it. But that has changed now.
When will I see such change 😍😂
I have used few products from Plum and liked its results. Surely this mask is a must try for summers
I tend to think of masks as pampering self-care, so it’s never occurred to me to use one daily. Clay masks are supposed to be great for oily skin, and I really like that this one has a citrus scent.
I”ve always been lucky with my skin, rarely get spots but as I’m getting older it has started getting very dry. Might need to get something like this for dry skin.
There are many good hydrating and nourishing masks available for dry skin. Check out some moisturizing sheet masks! 🙂
I like facial mask so I think I will at least consider trying this one. I like plum!
wow your skin is flawless babe! need to try this to clear my hormonal acne for sure!
Nah… It is no where near to flawless 🙈 and no one is really flawless. But thanks 💕
I think this will not be as useful for people like me who have sensitive skin. Thanks for the review. I will keep in the mind.
I might be the only one who feels that my skin fares better with breakouts in the summer. I always attributed it to the sun and the chlorine in my pool drying it out just a bit and taking care of some of the extra oil. I’m not a dermatologist so I have no factual evidence to back this up other than my history. That being said if your face gets sweaty and oily due to suntan lotions etc. I can see where breakouts could occur. I have been reading a good amount of late about green tea and the benefits for skin so this is definitely worth a try.
That’s awesome! Mostly during the summers I do not go anywhere. Will try to spend more time in the pools. 🙂
Really great review! I have always suffered from super sensitive skin so finding the right acne treatment has always been challenging for me. I too have oily skin and am prone to acne. I’m ALWAYS on the look out for a good product that won’t effect my sensitive skin (I find a lot of products make me break out in a rash) I will have to give this product a try! Thank you for sharing!!
This sounds like a great face mask! I am more on the dry patches side but I will look to see if this brand has other masks as well.
You can skip if you have super dry skin with dry patches. Yep… I think they have one for dry skin as well. Or you can check out in other good quality brands as well. 🙂
