Review – Olivia Professional Waterproof Makeup Stick In The Shade Rachelle
Hey guys! So, this is the product I was talking about in my Olivia Compact Powder Review post. I have been using this foundation or makeup stick on a daily basis and here is my review. It claims to be a perfect foundation and concealer combo product. Also claims to remain intact even when it comes in contact with water. We’ll discuss these points and more! By the way, I have oily and acne-prone skin, which turns combination during winter. So now without further ado, let’s get into the details! (You can check out my Olivia Compact Powder Review after this.)
Review – Olivia Professional Waterproof Makeup Stick
The packaging of Olivia Professional Waterproof Makeup Stick is sort of flimsy. It comes in a packaging similar to that of a lipstick bullet, yes in a roll-up mechanism. The stick is brown-purplish in color and has details mentioned on it like the shade name and code. My shade is 01 Rachelle. This makeup stick comes securely packed in a box which also contains a small note. However, I do not recollect the mention of ingredients anywhere but box read that it contains sunscreen.
By looking at the first swatch picture you can tell that it does not apply smoothly on the skin. In the second swatch picture, I have smudged it with the help of my fingertip. The cool thing is that you do not require a beauty sponge or a makeup brush to apply and blend this foundation in your skin. Since it blends much more effectively with the warmth of your fingertips. This is very convenient for all college and office goes, isn’t it?
It carries a fragrance which is neither mild nor strong, it did not bother my nose at all. It has a consistency and texture of a thick cream but blends very well with fingertips.
So, I have used this makeup stick on my facial and neck skin for more than 10 hours on a daily basis. And I can tell that it did not cause me any breakouts and neither did it clog my skin pores. The staying power is slightly above than average and it gives a medium coverage. It helps brighten and even out the skin perfectly and can work as an excellent day-to-day under eye concealer too! However, if you have under eye skin dryness or deep lines then the product does tend to make dry patches and lines look more prominent. So the use of a good moisturizer and primer is suggested.
This makeup stick takes a while to set into the skin to match your skin naturally. So while you are applying it might look that the look appears to be made up. But with time as it settles down, it looks natural which makes it perfect for daily usage. As per my experience, the time was 20 minutes. As far as the water stay claim goes, I can say that it does control sweat and oil to some extent. But I work in an air-conditioned environment so I can not conclude the same.

I like it!
This makeup stick will suit best on normal, combination and oily skin type. Sensitive skin can use it as well as mine is sensitive and I did not face any breakouts. However, for dry skin, a good moisturizer is recommended as this product tends to cling to dry patches. The staying power is good, the coverage is medium and it is oil & sweat proof to some extent. Overall, I do not have any complaint at this price point.
